Recently visited for breakfast.. Amazing, Food fantastic couldn't fault any part of it cooked to perfection. eggs,bacon,beans,mushrooms beans and toast.all cooked fresh topped off with a mug of piping hot tea.. Staff friendly and helpful.. 10 out of 10. Would highly recommend a visit.

We tried a new breakfast spot this morning – Hubby and I love hunting down new brekkie places! We visited the old Water Margin, now rebranded as The Margin Cafe, and it did not disappoint. The menu had something for everyone – from a full English to classic bacon butties, with vegetarian options too. It’s a cosy little place and we were lucky to grab the last two seats. Now let’s talk coffee. As full-on coffee fanatics, we’re very fussy about both the flavour and how it’s made – and this coffee was absolutely spot on. There was a bit of a wait for food (seemed like they were making one order at a time), but honestly? Totally worth it. Hubby had a breakfast bap that was stacked and full of flavour. I went rogue and built my own: scrambled eggs on toast, with bacon and black pudding – and yes, they butter the toast, which wins them serious bonus points! The place had a lovely, relaxed vibe, and the four staff members were working non-stop. Highly recommend a visit – we’ll definitely be back!

My partner had the large breakfast and I had the balance. Food was fresh, hot and delicious. The sausages had a great flavour and the avocado and spinach where vibrant. The poached aggs where perfect.

The interior of the cafe was very welcoming and clean. Our meals (and those of other guests) were beautifully presented and delicious. The service was swift and very friendly. The outside appearance, unfortunately, is very deceiving as it looks so run down (and this would normally put us off except that the cafe was recommended to us)....but, yes, what a pleasant surprise when we opened the door! The prices were very reasonable and the portions were sensible whilst still being generous.

Been three times now to this wonderful cafe. The menu is vast and reasonable priced, the service is friendly and the place has such a lovely atmosphere with great quality of food. They offer several vegan options and alternative milks which is great!

My husband and I are regular customers of the Margin Cafe, we absolutely love it! Reasonable prices, great customer service, great coffee and the food is delicious! We strongly recommend you to visit! I had porridge there today and I'm not exaggerating, it's the best porridge I ever had in my life!
